Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for executing a protocol for controlling transmitter power by a wireless LAN.
CONSTITUTION: It is assumed that the LAN is provided with several nodes including a transmitter and a receiver for respectively communicating information between computers with the nodes. In order to start the protocol, the transmitter transmits first signals including transmitter power signals to the receiver first. The information included in the transmitter power signals is transmitted by one field of the data packet of the signals. The receiver transmits power control feedback signals to the transmitter and the information inside the power control feedback signals occupies one field inside the data packet transmitted from the receiver to the transmitter. The transmitter power signals indicate the radiation power level of the transmitter and the power control feedback signals are provided with an instruction for instructing the transmitter to adjust the radiation power. The transmitter receives the feedback signals and adjusts the radiation power corresponding to them.
