Abstract:

To provide a method and a device for cooling exhaust gas which enable to cool exhaust gas while suppressing the lowering of the internal temperature in a preheater.

The method for cooling exhaust gas includes a step of extracting into a probe 16 a part of exhaust gas G1 discharged from at least one of a preheater 12 for calcining a cement raw material M and a kiln 14 for firing the calcined cement raw material M, and a step of feeding a coolant gas G2 into the probe 16 from a feed section connected to the probe 16 in such a manner that it inclines toward the exhaust gas G1 extraction direction. In the feeding step, the coolant gas G2 is fed at an angle of ≤70° between the feeding direction and the exhaust gas G1 extraction direction.
