Abstract:

To efficiently and accurately create the tire model of a pneumatic tire having a complicate surface shape.

A tire model creation method for creating a tire model by dividing a pneumatic tire having protrusions 20 arranged on a wall surface 10a of a slit 10 into a finite number of elements includes: steps (S11 to S17) of creating a basic block model 130 including the wall surface 10a of the slit 10; a step (S182) of comparing the size of a first element set in the basic block model 130 with the size based on the design value of the protrusion; a step (S184) of, when the minimum value of the size based on the design value of the protrusion is smaller than the size of the first element, creating a protrusion model by dividing the protrusions into the other second elements which are discontinuous with the first elements; and a step of executing processing to connect the basic block model 130 with the protrusion model to create the model of the pneumatic tire having the protrusions 20 on the wall surface 10a of the slit 10.
