Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inject an optimum amount of cutting oil against the position, to be machined, of a workpiece through a cutting oil nozzle when a cutting work is applied on the workpiece by effecting cutting in a way to change an amount of cutting oil fed to the part, to be cut, of the workpiece according to a change in the size of the workpiece or a cutting length.
CONSTITUTION: In cutting of a workpiece W, the cut position of a cutting tool 7 in the workpiece W after cutting is made on the workpiece W during, for example, a preset given time is detected. The cut length of the workpiece W in the detected cut position of the cutting tool 7 is computed by a computing processing device 93 or determined from a second data base 99. A cutting work is carried out such that an amount of cutting oil injected against the position to be cut of the workpiece W is changed according to a change in the determined cut length. When a cutting work for the workpiece W is effected in a manner described above, an optimum amount of cutting oil can be injected against the position, to be cut, of the workpiece W through a cutting oil nozzle 69.
