Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for cutting a workpiece in a transverse direction by releasing a blade and its grinder from planetary motion to decay periodic load and centrifugal load and form the cut face of the workpiece including a log into a square shape.
CONSTITUTION: A link is formed with an inclination arm 12, a driving arm 17, a control arm 30 and a pair of brackets 20 pivotally connected at their ends to one another. A blade 13 is subjected to operation by the brackets 20 for making pivotal motion free in two directions while being supported at its end by the driving arm 17, and the blade 13 with its inclination thus corrected is applied in vertical to a workpiece including a log.
