Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE OF DETECTING AND ADJUSTING ABNORMAL COMBUSTION OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3759093
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a high combustion efficiency in a pre-mixed combustion engine by accurately detecting occurrence of abnormal combustion such as knocking and an abnormal combustion occurring position in a combustion chamber based on a combustion condition in the combustion chamber, and by improving the combustion condition at the abnormal combustion occurring position to prevent the abnormal combustion to restore the abnormal combustion condition to a normal combustion condition.
SOLUTION: In this method of detecting and adjusting the abnormal combustion of the internal combustion engine, the abnormal combustion such as the knocking in the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine is detected. In this method, a plurality of photo sensors are arranged to positions different from one another inside the combustion chamber so as to be capable of change a light receiving direction from an inside of the combustion chamber, and an intersecting point of a line of the light receiving direction corresponding to intensity of a light received in the plurality of photo sensors from the inside of the combustion chamber is detected as the abnormal combustion occurring point.
