Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for detecting feces so as to easily, safely and automatically detect a fecal state inside a rectum without depending on palpation.
CONSTITUTION: This method detects the fecal state by inserting a probe for feces detection composed of a vibrator to be mechanically vibrated and the horn of an inserting part from the anus into the rectum catching change of an acoustic impedance caused by a touch load at the tip of the horn as the value of a current loaded to the vibrator. This device is provided with a driving mechanism system 1 composed of a probe 3 for feces detection, a constant voltage power source 4, an oscillator 7 at a high frequency voltage, a main amplifier 5, an I/V converter 6 for outputting an amplified voltage to the vibrator of this probe 3 as a current and phase shifter 8 for adjusting the phase of the voltage waveform and a load identifying mechanism system composed of an amplifier 9 for identification, comparator 10 for setting threshold value and monitoring equipment 11.
