To provide a method and a device for measuring the object property of an object using an image recorded using a camera, and a method for measuring a calibration parameter of a stereo camera.

In order to measure the object property of the object, the object is defined in a first image recorded using the cameras 16, 18, and the brightness of the defined object is measured further. At least each time after the lapse of a preset time interval, an additional image is recorded using the cameras 16, 18. The object is defined in each of the additional image and each time, and the brightness of the defined object of each image is measured. According to a brightness curve, the object property is allocated to the object.
