PURPOSE: To simplify the process and to improve productivity and quality by directly arranging the continuously formed powder compacts on a vibrating carbon plate in a regular fashion, removing the plate and sintering the compact in a furnace.

CONSTITUTION: The powder compacts (b) formed by the mechanism 1 of an automatic powder compacting machine are directly arranged in a regular fashion on a carbon plate 5 mounted on the vibrating plate 4 of a vibrating machine 3 through a chute 2. The carbon plate 5 is detachably mounted, for example, on the vibrating plate 4 through a jig 9 provided with a thumbscrew 9a. The carbon plate 5 is removed from the vibrating plate 4 and placed in a sintering furnace together with the compacts (b), and the compacts are sintered. In this case, the compacts are excellently regularly arranged by the plate 5, the damage of the compact (b) is effectively prevented, and the process is drastically simplified.
