Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set the kind of a paper sheet which is rejected or received by a paper sheet discriminating device.
SOLUTION: A decision control circuit 5 which controls a conveying device 15 is switched to a paper sheet selection mode with a single dip switch 56 and decides the kind of a paper sheet inserted into an entrance 13, and the kind of the paper sheet is stored in a kind storage means 60. Then the decision control circuit 50 is switched to a discrimination mode with the single dip switch 56 and a paper sheet sensor 16 detects optical features or magnetic features of a paper sheet inserted into the entrance 13 to determine whether the paper sheet is of the same kind as the kind of the paper sheet stored in a ROM 52. When the kind is the same as the kind stored in the ROM 52 and the device is in paper sheet selection mode, the paper sheet is received or returned.
