Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device wherein, when a map of complex and wide area, etc., is displayed on a screen, the entirety, current position, destination point, and their relative positions are easily grasped and confirm for the effective presentation of a required information. SOLUTION: A current position setting part 5 obtains the current position of a terminal device through an access process between the terminal device and a base station, etc. A destination point setting part 7 sets where a destination point is set from specifying. A travel speed/direction calculation part 6 calculates the travel speed/direction according to user's travel conditions. A map information data retrieval part 2 reads a map informant data out of a map information data storage part 1 according to its current position, the travel speed/direction, time, and destination point. A control part 9 reads the degree of display range and magnification range corresponding to the current position, travel sped/direction, and destination point. A map information data change part 4, in response to that, and converts into image the map information data based on a display pattern of a display pattern generating part 3 for display on a screen.
