Abstract:
To provide a method and device for driving a plasma display panel capable of reducing a pseudo-contour.
In the method for driving plasma display panel, gradations forming no pseudo-contour which are extracted by using light emission center at every gradation are set and the gradation processing in accordance with whether the pseudo-contour is produced or not based on the inputted gradation is performed. That is, when the inputted gradation is a gradation capable of producing the pseudo-contour, the inputted gradation can be estimated to be a gradation which does not produce the pseudo-contour by using the light emission centers for the gradations adjacent to the inputted gradation among the set respective gradations.
