Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device which do not need technical efforts so much, have high spatial resolution in instrumentation and an excellent signal generation amount and measure both or either of the thickness and weighing of a moving material.
SOLUTION: A material 1 during a test is directly detected by a receiver 20 in a sound field which is separated and close at the distance where a constituent of sound coming from the material 1 is shorter than or equal to the wavelength of a used sound by being exposed to an ultrasonic wave sound field where sound intensity level that is formed by a transmitter 11 is high and focused, and estimated to measure both or either of its thickness and weighing. Measurement in such a close sound field is appropriately performed by using a continuous sound wave and a sound wave that transfers.
