To eliminate ices from a front end surface by operating or stopping an expanding means having a shape for distorting an outer surface by a fluid under pressure and producing distortion of an chord direction below the front end outer surface of a material having a very high elastic factor for ice deposition within a particular time.
Below an outer surface made of a material having a very high elastic factor, a distorting means having a size, a position and a physical shape proper for distorting the outer surface during operation and producing distortion of an chord direction in a part equivalent to the outer surface is provided. The distorting means is operated at a cycle sufficient for producing a desired cyclical and arc direction distortion for melting ices deposited or stuck to the outer surface, and its operation is performed within 0.25sec., more preferably within 0.10sec., and most preferably, within 0.05sec. Preferably, the distorting means is a means to be freely expanded and a pressure fluid, preferably compressed gas such as air is used.
