Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an enlarged image without making the play and blur of its edge conspicuous by performing orthogonal wavelet conversion for an image signal, finding wavelet components of high order on the basis of the correlation among the components, and compensating high-order resolution components.
CONSTITUTION: An input part 1 inputs and coverts a continuous image signal into image data and stores the data, a wavelet conversion part 3 performs the orthogonal wavelet conversion for the image data sent from the input part 1 through a data bus 2 and outputs the wavelet components and image data, and a high-resolution prediction part 5 which predicts (n)th order wave components by using the wavelet components sent from the wavelet conversion part 3 through a data bus 4; an the wavelet component of (n)th order sent from the high-resolution prediction part 5 through a data bus 6 and the image data sent through the data bus 4 are inverse transformed to generate the enlarged image of scale resolution of (n-1)th order.
