Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for evaluating a scale inhibition effect, in each of which the particle size is measured with time to grasp a scale inhibition effect and an additional condition of a scale inhibitor is controlled according to a temporal change of the measured particle size so that the stabilized scale inhibition effect can be obtained, and to provide a method and a device for controlling the additional condition of the scale inhibitor.SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the scale inhibition effect of a scale inhibitor-added water system, the particle size of fine particles each consisting of a scale component, which is produced in the scale inhibitor-added water system and has 100 nm or smaller size, is measured with time and the scale inhibition effect of the added scale inhibitor is evaluated. In the concrete, the particle size of fine particles is measured by a dynamic light scattering method or a laser diffraction method. When the measured particle size is increased with time, the scale inhibition effect is evaluated to be insufficient and when the measured particle size is not changed or is decreased, the scale inhibition effect is evaluated to be sufficient.
