Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for excavating a vertical shaft that can easily collect and discharge the excavated soil for enhanced efficiency of excavation by avoiding the use of a hollow pipe that penetrates the ground to be excavated causing a decrease in excavation performance.
SOLUTION: A casing pipe 1 with joints that can be added as excavation progresses, a face plate 2 attached to the lower end of the casing pipe 1, and a plurality of excavating blades 3 disposed on the lower surface of the face plate 2 in such a way as to have a downward pitch toward the center of excavation are prepared. An excavation soil storage hole S is excavated in the center of the bottom face of a vertical shaft excavated, and the casing pipe 1, together with the face plate 2 is rotated so that the bottom face T of the vertical shaft is excavated into a conical shape by the excavating blades 3. The soil excavated is made to drop into the excavation soil storage hole S along the conical bottom face T and is discharged out of the shaft from the storage hole S through the casing pipe 1 by a soil discharge means 5 such as a hydraulic grab.
