To provide a method and a device for executing circular polishing which can surely and accurately machine a workpiece having a sharp transition edge part without burrs between two rotationally symmetrical planes even in continuous mass production.
The circular polishing method is executed for machining the workpiece (18) rotating around the workpiece axis. A first polishing tool (20), which rotates around a first tool axis, and the workpiece (18) are moved forward to each other so as to machine a first workpiece face in the first polishing work. A second polishing tool (54) rotating around a second tool axis (56) is moved forward to the workpiece (18) so as to machine a second workpiece face in the second polishing work. The two workpiece faces are designed so as to be rotationally symmetrical regarding the workpiece axis and arranged adjacently to each other in order to generate the sharp circular transition edge part without burrs between them. The two polishing operations are controlled so as to finish simultaneously.
