PURPOSE: To provide a water absorbing length and water absorbing height extending device for fire pump in which the water absorbing length and water absorbing height of a fire pump are complemented, and much more water can be used as fire extinguishing water.
CONSTITUTION: This device has a generator 6 loaded on a fire pump vehicle 1, a submerged pump 13 driven by the power of the generator 6 and discharging the water W absorbed through an intake port 12 to a discharge port 13o, a float 14 mounted on the submerged pump 13, a protecting frame 15 for enclosing the submerged pump 13, a strainer 12 and the float 13, and a water supplying pipe to which a hard water absorbing pipe 11 for connecting the discharge port 13o of the submerged pump 13 to a fire pump 4 and an extension hard water absorbing pipe 11A are connected.
