Abstract:
To provide a method for fabricating a turbine casing 36 which includes a plurality of turbine shroud assemblies 42.
The method includes providing a base casing 38 having a forward mounting flange 54 and an aft mounting flange 56 and at least one channel 52 defined therebetween, machining a rim 62 on the base casing proximate at least one channel 52, and coupling a ring member 64 to the base casing 38 with an interference fit such that the rim 62 is at least partially received within a groove 72 formed within the ring member 64.
