Abstract:
To provide a method and device for obtaining asymmetric thickness profile of a metal strip by a simple form both by cold rolling and hot rolling.
In order to obtain a strip segment having comparatively small thickness of the strip, the time when each point on the circumference of a 1st work roll 2 is brought into contact with the metal strip 1 is made shorter than the time when each point on the circumference of a 2nd work roll 3 is brought into contact with the metal strip 1. In this way, the asymmetric thickness profile of the strip is obtained in the region of the strip segment having the comparatively small thickness of the strip.
