PURPOSE: To generate the characters of plural weights with one piece of contour data by applying vector information to respective points of a contour for moving contour points with the weights as parameters.

CONSTITUTION: In a step S707, it is judged whether n-th contour data are provided with contour move vectors in an X direction or not and when there are contour point move vectors, a step S708 is executed but when there is no contour point move vector, a step 709 is executed. In the step S708, the X coordinate of contour points is calculated from the weight information and the vector data of contour point move vectors. In the step S709, it is decided whether an n-th contour point is provided with the contour point move vector in a Y direction or not and when there is the contour point move vector, a step S710 is executed but when there is no contour point move vector, a step S711 is executed. In the step S710, the Y coordinate of the n-th contour point is calculated from the vector data of the weight contour point move vector.
