PURPOSE: To shorten the time heretofore required for positioning time and to improve the productivity of a green compact molding by constituting the device in such a manner that die pressing is executed by pressing the upper surface of a die and the back surface of an upper punch without inserting the upper punch into the die, thereby eliminating the exact positioning of an index table.
CONSTITUTION: This method for forming the green compact molding is constituted to produce the green compact molding by loading a rubber mold(m) bored with a recessed part m' of a prescribed shape meeting the shape of the green compact molding into a recessed part 3 formed by the die(d) and a lower punch p1 inserted into the die and packing powder into the recessed part bored in the rubber mold, then placing an upper punch P2 on the upper surface d' of the die and compressing the rubber mold packed with the powder in the space part formed by the die, the lower punch and the upper punch, thereby compressing the powder.
