Abstract:
In order to remove apparatus-induced artefacts and the like from the ultimate image, a subtraction operation is performed between an image of an object to be examined and a dummy image in an X-ray apparatus. Both images are formed in similar apparatus conditions. A dummy object to be used for the dummy image can be adapted to the nature and the degree of interaction between the imaging X-ray beam and the object to be examined. The subtraction operation is preferably performed on digitized image formation.
