Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for generating horizontal-directional reference force capable of generating minute force, and capable of generating also both tensile force and pressing force.
SOLUTION: This method/device uses minute restoration force generated by shifting a weight 11A of a pendulum 11 from its stable position. The minute force is thereby generated by no generation of friction as in a pulley. The pendulum 11 is mounted on a second pendulum 15 with a sufficiently long suspension cord taken into account with a vibration frequency along a direction horizontal to a floor, so as not to be affected by horizontal-directional vibration from the floor 40. A displacement of the weight 11A of the pendulum 11 from its stable position is thereby controlled precisely to control precisely a level of the horizontal-directional minute reference force.
