Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device glazing an insulator corner part which can uniformly apply a glaze, by bringing a glazing roller impregnated with the glaze into elastic contact with a corner part between a rotating insulator head part and umbrella part in a condition tilted relating to an axial center of an insulator, and making the glaze adhere to the total periphery of the corner part.
SOLUTION: A glazing roller 8 impregnated with a glaze is mounted through a bracket 7 and a metal plate 9 in an horizontal arm 2 rotatably provided relating to a horizontal shaft 3 in a lower end part of an oscillating shaft 1. Turning force is given in a direction of an insulator G by an elastic means 13 to the bracket 7 with a pin 6 serving as an axis, rotation is left as stopped by a pressing cylinder 11, piston rod 12, stopper 14 and a fork 10. In the case of glazing, a tilt cylinder 4 is drawn up, the pressing cylinder 11 is actuated, the glazing roller 8 is brought into elastic contact with a corner part C of the rotating insulator G in a condition tilted relating to an axial center of the insulator. In this way, a method and device capable of uniformly applying a glaze to the corner part C are obtained.
