Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for guiding a steel material when rolling a bar in which a hot steel material while rolling a bar can reasonably and stably be guided to different lines separate in the height direction and the transverse direction to the shortest distance, mistaken roll or abrasion caused by defective guide can be reduced, temperature drop of the steel material caused by reduction of the pass line length can be prevented, and the cost of guide equipment can be reduced.
SOLUTION: In a guide pass line for guiding a steel material from the direction A to another direction (B) parallel thereto, the steel material is guided along an S-shaped oblique in-plane curved line formed in connecting an arc in contact with a line in the direction (A) and a middle point of a line segment (C) to an arc in contact with a line in the direction (B) and the middle point of the line segment (C) when the line section (C) with one point on each line being an end thereof is drawn on the plane including two lines in the direction (A) and the direction (B).
