Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method and device for handwriting input which enable high-speed input operation by storing an image which is inputted by handwriting input and performing character recognition based on the image at a point of time when there is no hindrance to input operation.
CONSTITUTION: The handwriting input device, which recognizes characters and symbols inputted by handwriting input, stores the image inputted by handwriting input in a main memory 12 when handwritten characters are inputted on a tablet 102. Then when an input and display function does not operate, a character recognition program is activated to perform the character recognition process based on the image stored in the main memory 12.
