To produce high-temperature fluidizing medium and contrive efficient heat recovery without generating problems, such as trouble in heat transfer, trouble in draft and the like, which are caused by the mist of low-melting point metal, by a method wherein incomplete combustion of waste, including low-melting point metal such as aluminum and the like, is effected to remove the solid of low-melting point metal together with ash and, thereafter, combustible gas is burnt again.
The incomplete combustion of waste including low-melting point metal such as aluminum and the like is effected in a waste incinerator 10 to gasify and obtain combustible gas whereby the solid of low-melting point metal is extracted together with ash while dust, including the solid of low-melting point metal, is separated from combustible gas in a dust separater 28 through solid/gas separation, then, combustible gas, from which dust is removed, is burnt again in a combustion and heat recovery furnace 12 to effect heat exchange. In this case, incomplete combustion is effected through partial combustion within the range of air ratio of 0.25-0.95 or preferably 0.5-0.7 and/or combustion is effected within the range of temperature of 400-700°C or preferably 500-660°C.
