Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent seizure, surface flaw of a tube stock and to prevent a roll from wear and the life from lowering by removing the flow of cooling water with a dewatering plate provided on the inlet side of a rolled stock of a caliber roll until the flow of cooling water comes in contact with the rolled stock and rolling the rolled stock as lubricant is supplied to the roll and the rolled stock.
CONSTITUTION: When a seamless steel tube stock is hot-rolled by the caliber roll 12, the installing area of lubricant supplying devices 16,17, 18,19 to supply lubricant is secured in a mill housing and the seamless steel tube 23 is rolled effectively under lubrication.
