Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE IDENTIFYING VIDEO FIELD OBTAINED FROM FILM SOURCE BY USING 2-2 AND 3-2 PULL-DOWN SEQUENCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3908802
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify a video material with high reliability resulting from a film as a generating source by detecting it when only a correlation device indicates a count value representing the film mode operation.
SOLUTION: A receiver is provided with a video signal timing source 102, and the signal source 102 outputs a timing signal group represented by an interlace luminance output signal Y and an English letter T for a whole. The video signal Y is mixture of a film source and a camera source and interlaced. Then the bit group is compared with a threshold to obtain a signal denoting a 1st threshold and the 1st threshold and sign bits are supplied to a 1st input terminal and a 2nd input terminal of each of five correlation devices, the correlation devices are sequentially addressed at a field rate and when only one correlation device indicates a count denoting the film mode operation, it is detected.
