Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an image forming method not generating carrier-over and provide an image forming device and an associate electrostatic latent image developer, whereby it is possible to stabilize the amount of developing toner to make transition to latent image carrier, ensure good filling of set solid, and generate good half tone image including no brush mark.
SOLUTION: The image formation consists of a photo-exposure process to form an electrostatic latent image and a development process to develop the latent image, wherein the developer contains a magnetic carrier and a toner, and a saturate characteristic is shown by the developing curve with this developer as represented by the amount of toner to make transition to latent image carrier and the contrast potential decided by the developing bias potential to be impressed on the developer carrier and the exposed part potential of the image carrier, wherein the share of the toner in the developer ranges from 5 to 10 wt.% and the time constant of the developer is below 40 msec, and the developing process is characterized by that the developing bias voltage is impressed on the developer carrier so that the amount of toner to make transition to latent image carrier attains the saturate region.
