Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method that can perform the post treatment of a solid- and gas-shaped combustion residue without requiring any device costs and can be operated by fossil fuel.
CONSTITUTION: A waste 3 is loaded as a charge on a grate 5 provided in a shaft furnace, a fuel-oxygen mixture or a fuel-oxygen-air mixture is introduced into the shaft furnace 2 beneath the grate 5 for oxidation, pure or technical- grade oxygen or air that is enriched with pure or technical-grade oxygen at the upper portion of the grate 5 is injected into a deposit in the waste 3 as an oxidizing medium, and the waste 3 is burned preferably at temperatures of 400-1,600°C along with the combustion residue if appropriate.
