Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add an element for determining whether or not fare information provided by an old commuter pass is right when a renewed commuter pass is issued.
SOLUTION: When a renewed commuter pass is issued, the fare is calculated on the basis of station information written on the old commuter pass. The fare calculated is compared with the fare information written on the old commuter pass, and, if there is a match, the selection of a route from a starting station to a destination station via a transfer station as well as the fare information is determined to be correct and the procedure for issuing the commuter pass is started. If there is a mismatch between the fare calculated and the fare information provided by the old commuter pass, the selection of the route is wrong and the fare information written on the old commuter pass as magnetic information is also wrong. In this case, the subsequent procedure for issuing the pass is stopped.
