Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for joining metallic tubes that a long-sized metallic tubes with a small diameter can be simply joined with a device of simple structure.
CONSTITUTION: The part in the vicinity of the tube end 2 or a sleeve 7 is clamped with a slit chuck 21 which is separable in the radial direction. The slit chuck 21 is revolved by taking the axis of tube as the center axis of the rotation and, while twisting the tube 1 and blowing shield gas toward the heating part along the tube 1, the end part of tube or the sleeve is heated and melted along the circumference and the tubes 1 are joined.
