Abstract:

To provide a device which effectively mixes liquids, and for which the emission of carbon and a nitrogen oxide, is reduced.

A double fuel injector 12 includes a device to jet a liquid pilot fuel to a gas turbine engine. The injector 12 includes a liquid pilot fuel feeding line 46 having an outlet to jet a fuel to a conical pintle swirler 106, and the pintle swirler forms the fuel into a cylindrical film in the inside of a pilot fuel- air mixing passage 102. The film of the fuel is divided by a shearing force which is applied to the film by separated streams of air, which flow to the inside and the outside of the pilot fuel-air mixing passage, at the downstream end part of the pilot fuel-air mixing passage, and becomes small drops.
