To eliminate the necessity of development by forming directly an image on a plate material set on a plate cylinder of a printer with a hood based on an image data signal from an image data to form a press plate and then carrying out the lithographic printing.
The whole of an on-machine drawing lithographic printer 1 is covered with a hood F, and respectively one plate cylinder 11, one blanket cylinder 12 and one impression cylinder 13 are provided inside the printer, and when the lithographic printing is carried out, a transfer blanket cylinder 12 is so disposed as to be brought into contact with the plate cylinder 11, and an impression cylinder 13 for transferring a printing ink image transferred onto the blanket cylinder 12 is so disposed as to be brought into contact with a printing paper P on the blanket cylinder. In the above state, an image is formed directly on a plate material 9 set on the plate cylinder 11 by the ink jet method to form a press plate and then the lithographic printing is carried out. The necessity of development is not required by the arrangement.
