Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MAGNETIC COAGULATION OF IMPURITY IN LIQUID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3241462
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce initial and running costs with efficiency by a method wherein an impurity-containing liquid is brought into contact with a magnet having a magnetic force of at least a predetermined value for a specific time to magnetically coagulate non-magnetic suspension with magnetic suspension in the liquid serving as a core and the suspension thus coagulated is held by attraction on the magnet to remove impurities from the liquid.
CONSTITUTION: To remove impurities such as magnetic and non-magnetic suspension from a liquid by magnetically attracting them to a magnet 4, the impurity-containing liquid is brought into contact with the magnet 4 having a magnetic force of at least 4000 gauss for 0.1-180 minutes, non-magnetic suspension is magnetically coagulated with magnetic suspension in the liquid serving as a core and the impurities in the liquid held by magnetic attraction on the magnet 4 is removed. Since the impurities are magnetically coagulated and adsorbed in the presence of the magnetic suspension, the magnetic suspension serves as a core to power-fully coagulate the non-magnetic suspension and the core, i.e., the magnetic suspension, is enclosed with a large amount of the non-magnetic suspension and the product thus coagulated are removed as such by magnetic attraction to the magnet.
