PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain a material made electret excellent in the holding property of surface charge by allowing a worked material to be made electret into contact with a insulating body preliminary made electret.
CONSTITUTION: The fibrillated fiber bundled body 13 is continuously produced by fibrillating a oriented polymer film 11 by the use of a needle pad like roll and is supplied between a press roll 2 and a transfer roll 3 of a device for making electret 1 by a feeding roll. The fed fibrillated fiber bundled body 13 is wound and mounted on the circumference of the transfer roll 3 by the press roll 2, is brought into contact with the insulating body 4, which is preliminary made electret by a D.C. voltage impressing device 5 and is an insulating polymer film, with pressing, travels by the rolling of the transfer roll 3 while coming into contact with the insulating body 4 along the circumference of the transfer roll 3 and is made electret. The fibrillated fiber bundled body 13 made electret is taken-off by a take-off rolls 14a and 14b and is transferred to the next stage.
