Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for managing an overhead channel of a base station (BTS) for improving and stabilizing a performance of the system.
SOLUTION: Through the use of the method, a load on a base station 2 for managing an overhead channel of a base station in a mobile communication system is calculated. When the calculated load reaches a critical value, an addition assignment request message of the overhead channel is sent to a channel card interface processor 12 and the overhead channel is added and assigned. Then, when the calculated value is ≤ the critical value, an overhead channel release request message is sent to the channel card interface processor 12 and the added overhead channel is released.
