Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep up with speedup of book binding by automatically forming a book cover assembling body, formed of a book cover and a support piece which is fixed to the book cover and to which a spine of a sheet block as a main body of the book is to be attached, by properly aligning the book cover and the head end or the back end of the support piece.
SOLUTION: A tape to be a support piece is cut into a predetermined length by a cutter 3. A piece of the tape which is cut into the predetermined length is moved by pushing its back end and is superposed on a book cover to which at least two streaks of adhesive are attached during conveyance by a conveyor 1.
