To provide a method and device for manufacturing an absorption body, capable of preventing accumulations (molding of raw material) obtained by sucking and accumulating the raw material in recesses of a rotary drum from falling on a transfer roll and the arrangement of the accumulations on the roll from being disturbed, and efficiently manufacturing the absorption body wherein the plurality of accumulations (molding of raw material) are arrayed in a predetermined pattern.
In the method of manufacturing the absorption body, in the process of conveying the accumulations (molding of raw material) obtained by sucking and accumulating the raw material in the recesses of the rotary drum 2 while holding them on the transfer roll 5, the plurality of accumulations are respectively individually conveyed while being sucked by a plurality of suction holes separated in the circumferential direction and width direction of the transfer roll 5.
