To provide a method and device for manufacturing a ceramic green sheet capable of suppressing a phenomenon in which an open face and an outer peripheral part of slurry applied on a base material are dried preferentially and eliminating the necessity of complicated control of drying temperature distribution and an atmosphere.
The method of manufacturing the ceramic green sheet includes: a slurry formation process of forming a flat coating film layer 1 by applying the slurry mixedly including inorganic powder, an organic binder and a volatile dispersion medium on the sheet-shaped base material; a drying process of evaporating the volatile dispersion medium of the slurry within a drying furnace 27 and removing the volatile dispersion medium, after the slurry formation process is performed; and a peeling process of peeling the slurry from the base material, after the drying process is performed. In the slurry formation process, a region in which thickness is reduced at predetermined intervals is provided in the coating layer 1, and in the drying process, a means for controlling removal speed of the volatile dispersion medium within the drying furnace 27 is provided.
