Abstract:

PURPOSE: To integraly form a noble metal jewelry having plural colors and hues in one casting by fixing weirs in a cavity in a mold to form plural chambers in a lost wax casting method, supplying the different molten noble metals into each chamber and casting.

CONSTITUTION: The platinum plate weirs 12 are arranged on the way of the lost wax pattern and the pattern is divided into two parts. From one side of a sprue 131, molten red colored gold alloy is poured and from the other side of a sprue 132, molten greenish yellow colored gold alloy is poured. After cooling, the casting body is taken out and supporting parts of the platinum plate weirs 12 are cut off. Both alloys are firmly melt-welded through the platinum plate weirs 12 and the special ring having different hues and colors can be integratively formed. Further, the platinum plate weir 12 becomes white line and helps with the design.
