To provide a method and a device for manufacturing welded H-shaped steel with highly-accurate squareness.
By using a device including a measuring device body 11a having a U-shape in a lateral view whose inner wall surface is arranged oppositely to each outer surface of upper and lower flanges 1fu, 1fd and one surface of a web 1m of a conveyed welded H-shaped steel 1, at least two laser range finders 3a-3f arranged on the inner wall surface of the measuring device body 11a oppositely to each surface, and a computing unit 11c for determining squareness based on a measured value of the same cross section of the welded H-shaped steel 1 measured by the laser range finders 3a-3f, each inclination of each outer surface of the upper and lower flanges 1fu, 1fd and one surface of the web 1m of the welded H-shaped steel 1 conveyed unrestrictedly is measured downstream of a cutting machine 12 for cutting the welded H-shaped steel 1 to have a product length, and squareness is calculated from each inclination. A calculated result is fed back to thereby reform the welded and bonded H-shaped steel. By being reformed based on the squareness measured highly accurately, a product having excellent squareness can be manufactured.
