PURPOSE: To improve the accuracy of a product and the operability by giving the independent work pressure to the right and left of a rolling reduction roll, detecting the outer diameter of the right and left flanges of under forming and performing the forming based on the comparison of the detection value thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The driving roll 10 borne by a stationary bearing 5 and mobile bearing 6 is provided, a rolling reduction roll 20 is set up at the upper part thereof and rotatably supported by bearings 24, 26. In this case, a pair of cylinders 22a, 22b for rolling reduction operation supporting the bearings 24, 26 ascendably and descendably are arranged on a cross frame 3. Wheel rim outer diameter detecting devices 30, 30' are further set up at the lower part of a forming machine 4. The forming is performed by controlling the pressure of the cylinders 22a, 22b based on the outer diameter comparison so that the difference in the right and left flange outer diameters detected by the devices 30, 30' does not exceed the prescribed set value range. In this way, the product accuracy is improved and the operability is improved as well by the facilitation of the roll adjustment.
