Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of matching the level of contents supplied into a packaging material tube, i.e. a method of detecting the location of the level, the packaging material tube being manufactured by a packaging machine, continuously supplied with the contents such as milk and juice, and thereafter sealed and cut in a transverse direction to be formed into an individual packaging container; and to provide a device implementing the method.
SOLUTION: According to the method, the packaging machine comprises a temperature detecting device 15 in which a number of temperature sensors 16 are sequentially arranged. Some of the sensors 16 detect the temperature on a surface portion of the tube, that is not influenced by the product, and the other sensors detect the temperature of a surface portion of the tube that is influenced by the product. Then a feeding device 12 of the packaging machine is controlled based on a signal determined depending on the relationship between the former sensors and the latter sensors.
