Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MEASURING AZIMUTH OF TRAVELING BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2622637
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To achieve an accurate measurement of azimuth by setting the angle which is formed by two magnetism detection coils constituting a magnetic sensor to any degrees without installing a cancellation coil, etc., for compensating a magnetic field newly.
CONSTITUTION: Detection outputs of two magnetism detection coils 11 and 12 constituting a magnetic sensor 10 are input to phase detectors 18 and 19 via amplifiers 15 and 16. Detection outputs of the magnetic sensor 10 which are phase-detected by the phase detectors 18 and 19 are input to an operation circuit of a control circuit 20 and magnetization which is peculiar to a traveling body is compensated by an operation circuit 21, thus enabling two sets of azimuth angles to be calculated. An azimuth criterion circuit 22 determines which of one set of azimuth angles which become a reference out of two sets of azimuth angles being calculated by an operation circuit 21 to obtain a true azimuth angle.
