To provide a method and a device for measuring a moving body which eliminate the need for frame facilities straddling over a measurement line irrelevantly to the visual field.
This device is equipped with a transmission device 1a which is mounted on the moving body 1 and sends a measurement radio wave Wm, upstream receiving antennas 4Ub and 4Db and upstream receiving antennas 4Ua and 4Db which are arranged on the upstream side and downstream side of an upstream measurement line 3U and a downstream measurement line 3D at equal intervals, passage time measuring instruments 5U and 5D which measure the intensity values of electric fields of the measurement radio wave Wm received by the upstream receiving antennas 4Ua and 4Da and downstream receiving antennas 4Ub and 4Db and judge that the times when these electric field intensity values of the measurement radio wave Wm become equal is the passage times of the measurement lines 3U and 3D, and a central managing device 8 which computes the passage time between the measurement lines 3U and 3D.
