To provide an automation method and its device for testing a medicine-medicine interaction as a screening tool for a medicine candidate compound.
A specific probe substrate and a minute quantity of sample of a new compound inhibitor are automatically dispensed into a multi-well reaction plate previously filled with thawed human microsome, a buffer, and a cofactor. The reaction plate is incubated, and the reaction product is tested for biologically measuring a related interaction effect of the compound. A device used for this preparation comprises a computer-controlled multi-liquid handling cannula, a micro-pipetting member, a freezer, a temperature-controlled incubator unit, a vacuum filtration device, a bar-code tracking for the plate, a conveying mechanism for moving and operating the multi-well plate, and a sample mixing element.
